NICK,NEW YEARS DAY @ BROMELY MT
Ring in the new year and to better days ahead. The end of 2008 saw the end of the Bush Error and a fresh start for tough times. The band keeps banging it out with some club work and private parties while I have worked solo jobs for the restaurant crowd.
The Christmas concert season for my teaching gig was stressful with three schools and three shows in a week. The Catholic schools will be undergoing many changes this coming year, so my future will be ever evolving. Never fear change, it’s the only certainty.
My newest musical venture involves a Paul McCartney tribute band. We are in rehearsals now and will be out by March 2009, more details will follow when the show is ready. I can say that the band sounds good with some well-known local players and I get to play a supporting role instead of front man.
Nick Bisanz and Dan “DJB” DeFillips have been the steadfast members of the Komrades and great mates. Thanks to the others folk who make the show possible, the website work and the people who turn up at the shows.
We’ll see you in out there in 2009.
Peace, Love and Togetherness

OCTOBER 2008
KENNY HITTING THE SKINS AT CLARSTOCK 08 AUG 9
BACK ON LINE
W e here at Geo Central, have been off line for the past two months. Our webmaster , John was able to get things up and running and I hope to keep the site up to date. Our web collapse coincided with the end of summer, so our schedule didn’t have a lot of dates.
The summer was busy with many solo gigs and social events with the band. We played several private functions and weddings with one of the more interesting wedding happening in September. This martial union bliss occurred in Rensselear and my favorite part happened when the bride rifled through the gifts during the reception in front of the guests. True love is always worth fighting for!
This summer saw the retirement of long time friend and drummer extraordinaire, Kenny Marchisani. Kenny has decided to spend more time with his family and focus on his health. We love Kenny, his skills and humor will be missed.
In other news the long running Thursday night open mic has come to an end. The Black Bear Inn in Watervielet has pulled the plug after 8 months. The open mic began at Brown’s in Troy in June of 2006 and ran there until February 2008, the Black Bear took over until this mid October 2008. Jimmy Kelly and myself are grateful to the owners for the opportunity and especially to all the players who turned up week after week. We would love to find a new spot.
On October 12, Nick and I played a benefit for our friend and fellow musician BJ (John) French. It was great to see some old friends from Troy and we all are pulling for BJ to get better.
The fall has a few dates and private function but we will keep the calendar as up to date as possible. Check the photos for shots from the summer of 08 and I hope to post a video of the band soon. Check back often.
I want to thank all the people who make my little dog and pony show possible, including but not limited to;
Gary 7 Nowik
Nick Bisanz
Kenny Marchisani
Dan DeFillips
Jimmy Kelly
Brian Fitzpatrick
Rod Choppy
Peter McKieran
Kitty Kelly
Rob, Chris and Jeff of The Truetones
